Steppinโ€™ Up for Youth: Two Nights. Double the Impact.

Join the statewide movement to support youth experiencing homelessness

Every night in Utah, hundreds of youth face the reality of homelessness, sleeping outside, couch surfing, or finding shelter in unsafe places. UTSleepOut 2025 is your chance to show up, speak out, and make a difference.

This November, join Youth Futures and communities across the state as we spend a night under the stars in solidarity with youth experiencing homelessness. Whether you sleep out, donate, or cheer from the sidelines, your impact matters.

Why We Sleep Out

๐Ÿ”น Over 15,000 Utah youth experience housing instability each year.

๐Ÿ”น Youth who experience homelessness are 4X more likely to face chronic homelessness as adults. (Source: Chapin Hall, UChicago)

๐Ÿ”น Most families experiencing homelessness donโ€™t meet HUDโ€™s narrow definition, which excludes those doubled-up or in motels.

Youโ€™re not just raising money. Youโ€™re changing the system.

FAQ:

Q: What should I bring?
A: Dress warmly. Bring your own sleeping bag.

Q: Can I participate remotely if I can't attend in person?
A: Yes! Register as a Virtual Warrior to stand in solidarity from anywhere. You'll receive a digital badge and a fundraising toolkit! or you can host your own night and share your support online.

Q: Who can sleep out?
A: This is a family-friendly event open to adults, teens, and groups. However, we ask those 12 and younger not to sleep out with us.

Q: How do I get involved if I canโ€™t sleep out?
A: Donate to a participant or team, sponsor the event, or share our campaign.  It's okay to buy tickets even if you don't plan to sleep out.

Q: What is the difference between a Team and a Campaign?
A: A team is someone you are joining to raise money, and a campaign is your own fundraising total that you influenced.
